• What are Wishing Well dryer sheets made of?

  The sheet itself is cellulose viscose, derived from wood pulp. The softening comes from vegetable-based agents derived from plant fatty acids. The fragrance is infused into every sheet. That is it — no parabens, no phthalates, no dyes, no optical brighteners.

• Are dryer sheets really made of plastic?

  Yes. The substrate in many dryer sheets is polyester — a petroleum-based plastic. It works, but it takes 200 to 450+ years to break down in a landfill and fragments into microplastics along the way. Ours are made from cellulose viscose, a plant-derived fiber from wood pulp that breaks down meaningfully faster than polyester.

• What do they smell like?

  Afterglow is a sophisticated fragrance that smells like luxury and self-care. Top notes of bergamot and fresh fruit balanced by elegant floral middle notes and grounding base notes of patchouli, tonka, and chocolate will leave you feeling confident long after the dry cycle.

• How do I dispose of a used sheet?

  Toss it in the trash — but if you can, toss it loose rather than sealed inside a plastic bag. Even plant-based materials struggle to break down without oxygen. A paper bag or an open bin does the job.

• Are they cruelty-free and vegan?

  Yes — never tested on animals, never made with animal-derived ingredients. Worth knowing that "fatty acid" on a dryer sheet label can mean either plant or animal derived, and many brands do not specify. Ours is vegetable-based, derived from plant fatty acids.

• Are there any fabrics I should not use them on?

  While they're safe on most fabrics, there are a few we'd recommend skipping. Children's sleepwear and anything labeled flame-resistant, since fabric softeners can reduce flame resistance. And fluffy fabrics like fleece and terrycloth, where they can increase flammability.

• Can I use them with any detergent?

  Absolutely — they work with whatever you are washing with. They're also built to layer with our detergents, so if you match the scent it carries all the way through, wash to dry.
